We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the proximity to nature. The sight of hippos nearby was a memorable experience. The resort's structure was also impressive, and the swimming pool was a nice addition for cooling off.

Our experience was marred by some disappointing aspects. The lack of communication and misleading information regarding dinner options left us hungry and frustrated.

Very private and a relaxed stay. Enjoyed every minute. Will go back to Hippo again next year.

I recently had a great stay at a resort in Hoedspruit that offered excellent value for money. The prices for meals were reasonable, and the food was not only well cooked but also very tasty. The staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Additionally, I was impressed with the basic amenities provided, especially the nice swimming pool.

Although I had a great experience overall, there was one minor issue with the dinner arrangements. We had requested dinner in the afternoon, but when we arrived at the hotel's restaurant, it was unfortunately closed.

The staff were really helpful and friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The basic room I stayed in was clean and neat, and even though it didn't have air conditioning, I didn't find it uncomfortable at all. The highlight for me was the fantastic swimming pool, which was perfect for relaxing and cooling off on hot days. Plus, the complimentary wifi was a nice touch, even though it was only accessible around the reception area.

All in all, everything was just perfect at this hotel.

Great Stay! the staff were friendly and helpful. the location was perfect and allowed us to see some amazing sights like the Kruger National Park. the rooms were well equipped with everything you need. One of our favourite aspects was being able to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

The rooms could use some updating as some of the furniture was old. we had some issues with bugs and spiders in the room.
